City winners for Modern Art

MODERN ART left metropolitan winners in three States in the space of 72 hours! His winners were REPEAT AFTER ME (1:54.2, Menangle), MONIVAE (1:57.4, Albion Park) and STRIKE IT MODERN (Globe Derby Park).

REPEAT AFTER ME, who sliced two seconds off her previous best with his end-to-end effort, has now won 10 races and almost $70,000 in stakes.

From a mare by Denver Gift, the brown gelding was bred by Robert Rothacker, who shares ownership with G. D. Eddy, J. A. Watson, F. N. Hudson and D. L. Grant.

MONIVAE, who sat parked throughout, took his tally of wins to 16 and his stake earnings to $97,564. From a Panorama mare, the brown gelding was bred by D. J. Spedding and M. T. Harris and is raced by M. R. Moss, R. J. Giometti, A. Moujalli, M. Ma, P. and R. W. Randall, M. Jones and D. Murray.

STRIKE IT MODERN, who led from the outset, has won four times this season. From a daughter of Exotic Earl, the gelding was bred and is owned by J. and M. L. Russo.

STAR BRUTUS, a brown gelding by MODERN ART, won his 28th race at the Coolamon Cup meeting on Sunday (April 29). He rated 1:59.8 over 1760 metres in his 3.7 metre success.

Bred by Sanmark Investments Pty Ltd, STAR BRUTUS is out of a mare by ALBERT ALBERT. The gelding is owned by John Sergi.

MODERN ART has sired 75 individual winners this season for progeny earnings in excess of $1,070,000.
