Exciting Well Said 3YO remains unbeaten

Our sires WELL SAID and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE won all three divisions of the $159,165 Pennsylvania Sires Stake for two-year-old colts and geldings at The Meadows on Saturday (July 22).

DONE WELL, a colt by WELL SAID, put up the fastest time of the three divisions – 1:52 – to maintain his unbeaten winning streak of three.  The youngster is out of a mare by Allamerican Native.

CLOSING STATEMENT, a colt by ‘BEACH’, won the second division in 1:52.8 defeating the previously unbeaten KWIK TALKIN (by WELL SAID) by a length. The $120,000 yearling purchase is from a mare by Western Ideal.

The third division fell to another ‘BEACH’ colt, PEDRO HANOVER, a winner in 1:52.4. He is out of a Pro Bono Best mare.

On the same card ‘BEACH’ provided the quinella pair, HUNTSVILLE and BLOOD LINE, in the faster of the two eliminations of the Adios Pace timed in 1:49.6.

After racing wide from the No 7 gate, HUNTSVILLE, who won the Meadowlands Pace a fortnight earlier, worked to the top at the three-eighths mark and then dug deep to hold off BLOOD LINE by a neck.

The win took the three-year-old’s lifetime earnings to an impressive $1,316,665. He has not finished further back than second in 19 starts!

HUNTSVILLE will be the one to beat in next Saturday’s $400,000 Adios final.
