Metro winners for Rocknroll

ROCKNROLL HANOVER has already sired three metropolitan winners and a brilliant country winner this week. VAMPIRO made it four straight at Gloucester Park, VIEWBYTHEROCK(1:58.4) and ROCKTELLZ (1:59.4) both won at Globe Derby Park and STRATOSPHERIC won in 1:58.3 on debut at Terang.

VAMPIRO, a New Zealand bred gelding, sat parked most of the way before scoring in 1:57.9 over 2130 metres, carving out his last 800 in a slick 56.7. Out of an Artsplace mare, VAMPIRO was bred by L. W. Ridge and M. E. Slagter and is owned by trainer Skye Bond and Robert Gartrell.

VIEWBYTHEROCK, who led throughout from the pole, notched win No 5. From a mare by Mach Three, the gelding was bred by Viv Clark, who shares ownership with B. J. and J. R. Scaffidi.

ROCKTELLZ, who also led from end-to-end, extended his record to six wins from only6 eight starts. Out of a 13-win Village Jasper mare, the brown gelding was bred and is owned, trained and driven by Dani Hill.

While STRATOSPHERIC, a ROCKNROLL mare, led throughout and scored in cavalier fashion at her first public outing. The bay mare won unextended by 11.9 metres, roaring home in 58.4. Out of a daughter of Torado Hanover, STRATOSPHERIC was bred and is part-owned by Helen Head. She is also raced by D. L. and L. J. Chisholm.

ROCKNROLL has produced a dozen Australian winners already this season.
