Perth double for Village Jolt

VILLAGE JOLT sired a pair of Gloucester Park winners, MIDNIGHT MAN and MISTER SPOT, within the space of 72 hours.

MIDNIGHT MAN led throughout from the pole to win in a career-best 1:58.4 rate over 2130 metres with the last 800 in 57.5, while MISTER SPOT, who raced worse than midfield, came with a stomping three-wide run in the last lap to overwhelm his rivals in a 1:57.2 rate over the same trip.

The winner of 10 races and $50,536, MIDNIGHT MAN was bred by Brook Park Standardbreds from an Exotic Earl mare. The gelding is owned by K. S. Sheehy and trainer Joshua Dunn.

MISTER SPOT has won eights and $90,000 in stakes. The gelding was bred and is owned by Reg Smallacombe and is out of a Northern Luck mare.
