Rocknroll double at season opener

ROCKNROLL HANOVER produced super tough winners in two States on the opening of the new racing season.

KEEP ON ROCKING, a ROCKNROLL gelding, raced without cover before outstaying his opponents at Kilmore, while ROCKNROLL QUEEN sat parked throughout before scoring at Young.

KEEP ON ROCKING rated 1:56.2 over 1690 metres with the last 800 in a flying 56.5.

The winner of 11 races and almost $85,000 in stakes, the gelding is out of the $156,000 winning Sands A Flyin mare Golden Flyin. He was bred and is raced by Fred Crews.

ROCKNROLL QUEEN, who rated 2:01 over 1720 metres, has won two races so far.

Out of a mare by In The Pocket, the mare was bred by Joe Cordina and is owned by David and Rachel Micallef.
