VAMPIRO, PLEAD THE FAITH and HILLTOP SOPHIA, three progeny of ROCKNROLL HANOVER, maintained their devastating form this week.

VAMPIRO, a New Zealand-bred gelding, made it three wins on end when, after starting from the back row, he led for the last 1-1/2 laps before scoring at Gloucester Park on Tuesday night (September 5).

He rated 1:59.4 over 2130 metres, the last 800 in a stunning 56.9.

Out of an Artsplace mare, VAMPIRO was bred by L. W. Ridge and M. E. Slagster. The four-time winner is raced by Skye Bond and Robert Gartrell.

PLEAD THE FAITH, a ROCKNROLL daughter, completed back-to-back wins at Shepparton on Wednesday (September 6), despite racing with cover throughout. She rated 1:58.4 for 1690 metres with the closing 800 in 57.8.

The winner of four of her 10 starts, PLEAD THE FAITH was bred by P. G. and D. J. Lowry, the Estate of L. J. Lowry, M. J. Dillon and A. J. Lewis and is out of a mare by Live Or Die. She is owned by P. G. and D. J. Lowry, M. J. Dillon and L. J. Wilson.

HILLTOP SOPHIA, an end-to-end winner at Globe Derby Park on Monday (September 4), extended her record to 15 wins and 24 placings from 58 starts for $81,347 in stakes.

From an American-bred daughter of Artsplace, HILLTOP SOPHIA was bred by Peter Chambers and is owned by Val Bain.
