Third win for Well Said 3YO

Promising WELL SAID three-year-old colt ROYAL LINCOLN notched his third win from only 10 starts when he gave a polished display at Alexandra Park, Auckland on Friday night (Aiugust 25).

Starting from the pole, the brown colt pinged straight to the front before handing up 300 metres after the mobile wings folded. He then reclaimed the lead at the 1400 metre mark and was seldom in danger thereafter, scoring by three-quarters-of-a-length. The mile rate for the 2200 metres was 2:01.9 highlighted by a flying 57.3 last 800 and 27.2 closing 400.

Bred by Michelle Carson, ROYAL LINCOLN is out of an unraced Elsu mare. He is owned by Lincoln Farms Bloodstock Ltd, D. R. Ebert, R. J. Menzies, C. Prutton, R. W. Seebeck, S. A. MacDonald and the Excell Syndicate.

WELL SAID has been represented by five winners from only two small NZ crops.
