Trans-Tasman double for Well Said

WELL SAID led in very impressive winners in Western Australia and in New Zealand in the space of 24 hours.

LADY DE LA RENTA, a WELL SAID mare, took full advantage of a sweet trip to notch her 11th win from 26 starts at Gloucester Park, while the three-year-old filly ARMA INDIE won her second race in a career-best 1:59.4 at Invercargill.

LADY DE LA RENTA raced 1:57.5 over 2130 metres with the last 800 in a flying 55.7 and 400 in 28.1.

The winner of almost $150,000, the mare was bred by Kevin, Annette and Kody Charles from a JET LAAG mare. She is owned by Annie and C. Belton and S. W. Hoffmann.

ARMA INDIE, who is out of a Courage Under Fire (Direct Scooter) mare, was bred and is owned by D. L. Harrison and J. P. Mathers.
