Village Jolt treble

Village Jolt treble

VILLAGE JOLT sired three winners – including a ‘new’ two-year-old winner -  in Victoria on the final day of the season.

SEATTLE GRACE, a two-year-old filly, won impressively on debut at Maryborough, while VILLAGE ENCOUNTER and LOVEISAMYTH, a pair of VILLAGE JOLT three-year-olds, scored at Shepparton.

SEATTLE GRACE, who came from three deep on the marker pegs, rated 1:57.4 over 1690 metres with the last 800 in a flying 57 seconds.

Bred and owned by Bradley Barnes, the brown filly is out of a 1:58 In The Pocket mare.

VILLAGE ENCOUNTER, a black filly, notched her second win from only five starts, rating 1:59.1 over 1690 metres. From a Village Jasper mare, the filly was bred and is raced by John and Matthew Newberry.

While LOVEISAMYTH, a brown gelding, overcame a back row draw and a wide passage to post his third win for the term. He rated 2:00.4 for 2190 metres, the last 800 in 57.4.

From a mare by Holmes Hanover, LOVEISAMYTH was bred by Matthew Morgan, who shares ownership with R. C. and R. J. Morgan.
