Well Said 3YO double

Promising sire WELL SAID left important three-year-old filly winners on either side of the country on Friday (February 2).

SPEAK NO EVIL, having only her second start, led throughout at Maryborough, while LADY DE LA RENTA sat parked most of the way before outstaying her opposition at Gloucester Park.

SPEAK NO EVIL rated 1:58 over 1690 metres with the last 800 in 57.7.

Out of an In The Pocket mare, the filly was bred and is raced by Bill and Anne Anderson’s Lauriston Bloodstock.

LADY DE RENTA averaged a 1:59.3 rate over 2130 metres highlighted by a flying 56 seconds closing half.

She has won three of her seven outings and almost $40,000 in stakes.

From a mare by JET LAAG, LADY DE LA RENTA was bred by Kevin, Alex and Kody Charles. She is owned by Annie and C. Belton and S. W. Hoffmann.

WELL SAID has left six individual three-year-old winners to date this season.
