Promising WELL SAID three-year-old WE SALUTE YOU posted his third win from only eight starts when he outstayed his opposition at the Blayney Cup meeting on Sunday (November 18). Starting from inside the back row, the gelding settled down behind the leader before being switched to the one-wide line to lead the outside division for the final 1200 metres.

Despite his torrid passage, WE SALUTE YOU dug deep in the final stages to prevail in a three-way finish. Bred by Les, G. R., I. G. and S. J. Johnson, the gelding is from a mare by Art Major. He is owned by Rob Nalder.

WELL SAID has sired five three-year-old winners this season to date from six starters!

THAT SAID, a gelding by WELL SAID, led throughout in a tick over 2:00 at Globe Derby Park on Saturday night (November 10), while SON OF LANA notched his second success at Wyndham, New Zealand the following afternoon.The winner of three races, THAT SAID was bred and is owned by Geoff Easom and is out of a mare by Waverly Niatross.

While SON OF LANA, out of a mare by In The Pocket, was bred by Kelvin Home Holdings Ltd and is raced by M. R. Heath, Kiwi Connection Syndicate, B. J. Brown, B. W. Crofts, Fairsay Syndicate, C. A. Dempster, K. Paterson and J. Drozdzak.
