Well Said winners everywhere!

Well Said winners everywhere!

WELL SAID sired very impressive winners on both sides of the Tasman over the holiday period.

The lightly raced three-year-old PETER FORSBERG notched his first win at the grass track meeting at Westport, New Zealand, while GOTOTHEMOON outsprinted his opposition to post his third success at Redcliffe.

PETER FORSBERG, who was sent to the top in the early part, survived some pressure mid-race and in the last lap before scoring in runaway fashion by 1-3/4 lengths.

Out of a Presidential Ball mare, the gelding was bred by Jay and W. S. Abernethy and is raced by the Abernathy’s with J. W. Lindsay.

GOTOTHEMOON, who started from the No 5 gate, was trapped three deep for the first 600 metres before being snagged back to the tail.

Popped the question at the 800 metre mark, the brown gelding circled the entire 10-horse field in the back straight and set sail for the judge with a commanding lead.

He won easing up by 10 metres.

The mile rate for the 1780 metres was 2:00.1.

Bred by Brad Steele, GOTOTHEMOON is out of a mare by Fake Left. The gelding is raced by T. J. and L. H. Barsby and M. Bragagnolo.
