STAY HUNGRY‘s run of juvenile winners continued this week with filly Whens Lunch (bred by Brad Elder) taking her third lifetime win at Tamworth. CAPTAINTREACHEROUS mare Spiritofangel (K & A Charles) proved she’s yet another one of his talented daughters, notching up $120,000 in earnings at Pinjarra.
It’s been a big few days in the northern hemisphere too! BULLDOG HANOVER filly Daya claimed the $153,000 Battle of the Belles at Grand River Raceway, while STAY HUNGRY two-year-olds took divisions of the $68,000 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes divisions at Pocono Downs – Aint’playinnice in 1:51.3 and Frantic Hanover in 1:51.4. Three-year-old gelding Snack Attack was successful at Ocean Downs in 1:54.1 taking a Maryland Standardbreds Race Fund leg, as was CAPTAINTREACHEROUS filly Act Classy in her division.
CAPTAIN two-year-olds were successful at Pocono Downs with Another C Note and Ringin The Captain taking divisions of the $20,000 Stallion Series, and at Harrah’s Philidelphia Westwinds posted a 1:51.2 win of a 3YO Fillies Pennsylvania Stallion Series leg.
TALL DARK STRANGER juveniles also shone at The Red Mile with four Kentucky Golden Rod divisions going to his offspring – Thiago Hur (1:51.1), Push Up (1:53.1), Blue Onyx (1:50.3) and Karma (1:50). At Harrahs Philidelphia, Westwinds took a fillies leg of the Pennsylvania Stallion Series, and two legs of the two-year-old Stallion Series at Pocono Downs went to Southwind Spencer and Really Bright.
Of our past roster, BETTING LINE continues to be dominant with four winners – Jilliby Tomcat, Kimchi, Spitfire & Might and Victory – while there were doubles for FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (I Like What I See & Oliver Shark) and WELL SAID (Kates Virtue & Baxter Red) and winners each for WESTERN TERROR (Terror Flying) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Lexy).
