STAY HUNGRY kids nailed the assignment this week – two new two-year-old winners in Surreal Moran (bred by C McIntyre) at Wyndham and Anyoneoforadrink (Brooklyn Lodge) at Young, and at Menangle, three-year-old Heeza Malteeza (Rob Xerri) broke through the $50,000 mark with a 1:52.5 victory.
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS was represented by three winners too – new to the list, two-year-old filly Fiction File (Benstud) at Bendigo, and older horses Keayang Crippa (Marg Lee) at Mildura and Barbarossa (S Taylor,k W Wilson & L Standing) at Cambridge.
CAPTAIN and BULLDOG HANOVER had a great Lexington yet again! CAPTAIN averaged $91,306 for his lots which brought in over $3.2m and BULLDOG HANOVER yearlings commanded $3.5m for an average of $79,000. At Plainridge Park, it was BULLDOG two-year-old Manador who took a $45,000 Massachusetts Breeders Stakes in 1:55.
WELL SAID topped our past sire list this week, represented by Interpretation, ROyal Speech, He Said She Said, The Blue Wren and Llanfair Llewellan. SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE claimed three – Dynamite Dan, Lexy and Alta Sensation – and BETTING LINE two – Betting On Courage and Daylight.
