A big list of eight for CAPTAINTREACHEROUS over the weekend! Mare Captains Mistress (bred by Taffy Ltd) won the Group 3 The Angelique at Cranbourne, her third win in a row and a dominant one by an 18m margin. Fellow mare General Jen (McKerrow Bloodstock) headed an Addington double with Double Jeopardy (K & A Spicer and D & W Fleming) who brought up $154,000. Topping $194,000 at Albion Park in 1:55.9 was Captains Pick (Solid Earth) and Lanai (Mathew Day) clocked 1:55.2, Captains Knock (John Rutter) kept his country campaign going with a Bathurst win to hit $794,000. A brand new and very impressive 8m winner on debut at Goulburn was three-year-old colt Emperor (Mick Harvey). At Globe Derby, gelding Captain Fearless (Wyndown Stud) brought up a sixth win.
Also at Addington was new TALL DARK STRANGER winner Volare (R O’Meara) who claimed her three-year-old win on debut.
There were also doubles for WELL SAID (Siangdi & Second Amendment) and BETTING LINE (Norbet & Sapphire Gambler) and a winner for ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Henry Winkler).
