Three good winners this week for STAY HUNGRY with Beaudiene Hunter (bred by David Kennedy) taking win #3 at Gloucester Park, Perfect Playgirl (P Devereux & R Boldiston) in by 7.5m at Gawler, and Zeezeezoom (J & K Norrish) going back to back at Redcliffe.
Also at Redcliffe was new CAPTAINTREACHEROUS winner, three-year-old filly Dont Ask Again (Alison Miles) who saluted with a 12m margin. Also on the new list for CAPTAIN was colt Master Louey (Gary Toulmin) at Kilmore, followed closely by Captain Groove (bred by Gary’s wife Louise!) at Newcastle in 1:53.5.
A rare CAPTAIN trotter in Alpha Stride (E + M Stride) got up yet again at Menangle in TR1:55.5, Jorge Street (Mathew Day) hit $180,000 in earnings at Bathurst, and at Port Pirie, four-year-old Don Capitano made it a midweek double for Benstud who also bred two-year-old TALL DARK STRANGER debut winner Boystrous (Maryborough).
Of our past roster BETTING LINE secured six winners – Get Ya Bets On, Snip Of Beauty, Quickshift Girl, Belmer Betty, Line Of Courage & Over The Line – while WESTERN TERROR had a treble in Ashlee Nitro, War Western & Kolisi, and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE a double with Swanbourne Spunk and Majors Creek.
