A win in the Green FFA headlined CAPTAINTREACHEROUS results this weekend, with Captain Bellasario (bred by John Munnerley) taking the race in 1:54.1 for a Menangle double after Jorge Street (Mathew Day) clocked a sizzling 1:50.9 to top $200,000 in earnings. Another double at Albion Park had Lux Aeterna (Brookly Lodge & the la Spina family) in 1:53 and French Fries (Solid Earth) record 1:51.9 to reach $170,000 in stakes.
Don Capitano (Benstud) was successful at Globe Derby Park and at Wagga, mare Astral Stride (E & M Stride) set 1:53.5 to win.TALL DARK STRANGER gelding Keayang Simba (Marg Lee) made it two wins from three starts with a salute at Northam, while at Wagga three-year-old Set Play (Elite Bloodstock) added another win to his record.
In the US, CAPTAIN star Captain Albano continued his march with a win in the $478,000 MGM Borgata while at Pocono Downs, his three-year-olds claimed victory in three divisions of the Pennsylvania All Stars series – Captain Apple in 1:54.1, Another C Note in 1:52.2 and Treacherous Lou in 1:53.8. BULLDOG HANOVER filly Shes A Bulldog took an Ontario Sires series race at Woodbine Mohwak Park in 1:51.3, and at Shenandoah Downs, TALL DARK gelding Caviart Sheridan claimed a 1:55.1 VA Breeders Fund Elimination.
Trebles this week for WELL SAID (Ginnivan, Triedtotellya & Midnight Pirate) and BETTING LINE (Ultimate Cruza, Get Up Betty & Classic Line), while there were wins for Shazza Love (SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE) and Starzzz Destiny (FOUR STARZZZ SHARK).
