A big one for STAY HUNGRY, securing five winners in this last week – three-year-olds led the way with Surreal Moral (bred by Caine McIntyre) taking out the Redcliffe Derby Consolation, Affamoto (I & D Montgomery) taking win $3 at Launceston, and filly Stay Lucky (John Starr) going back-to-back at Penrith in a track double with mare Princess Ballerina (Nathan Varcoe), while at Tamworth, fellow mare Whens Lunch (Brad Elder) chalked up her fourth lifetime victory. At Oak Grove in the US, colt Midnight Drive took out a $40,000 leg of the Kentucky Sire Stakes 2YO C&G series.
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS rounded out another fine week with a double at Menangle – taking consecutive wins, Captain Bart (Tumby Park) in 1:53 and Party Central (Breckon Farms) in 1:51.9. Also on his list were three-year-olds Crippa Max (Breckon Farms) in 1:54.1 at Albion Park and filly Shiffrin (S Robetson, M Tanner & A Goadsby) at Geelong, while mare Cool And Classy (Solid Earth) claimed the 2026 Princess of the Bay at Redcliffe in 1:51.8.
Filly Gracious (1:52.3) claimed a division of The Stallion Series at Pocono Downs, Prince Hall Hanover and Fallout took $50,000 legs of the Graduate Series at The Meadowlands, and at Oak Grove, the $150,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes final went to Captain Arturovico in 1:48.4!
