CAPTAIN son Co Captain (Maurlen Equine) took out the Derby-Oaks Consolation on the same card, while filly Fiction File (Benstud) clocked 1:54.3 at Geelong to take her earnings just shy of $50,000.
STAY HUNGRY saw a new winner at Wagga in Stay Alpha (Philip Trainor) in 1:55.5 while in Launceston, Hungry Hippo (Brooke Hammond) claimed the GR2 Raider Stakes, his third win on the trot for stakes now past $88,000. At The Meadows in North America, his colt son Atomix Hanover claimed a division of the Roy Davis, as did CAPTAIN colt Loud Lexy.
