TALL DARK STRANGER won 19 of 22 career starts while banking over $2.3m. The fastest ever son of Bettor’s Delight retired after his three-year-old season and nineteen mares bred to TDS his first North American season were millionaires, including Anndrovette (1:48, $3.54m), Put On A Show (1:47.3, $2.36m) and Warrawee UBeaut (2,1:48.3, $1.79m). STAY HUNGRY is from multi-millionaire World Champion mare, My Little Dragon from statesman sire, Somebeachsomewhere and as leading US first season sire in 2022, it’s no surprise his early crops in North America have posted some incredible results to date including average earnings of over $50,000 and 94 1:55 runners. There are no guarantees in racing but CAPTAINTREACHEROUS‘ record speaks volumes for quality and value at the yearling sales. With his offspring having earnt in excess of $77m in North America and more than $16m in Australasia, he’s been the dominant stallion across all age groups. In 2023, his pacing progeny led the average earnings tables for all-age, 3YO, and 2YOs who averaged over $50,000. Last season’s list of stars was full of CAPTAIN stock – Encipher, Catch A Wave, Millwood Nike, Lux Aeterna, Captain Ravishing, The Lost Storm, Petracca, August Moon, Stormryder – just to name a very small few of his champions in 2023.
Maturing like fine wine, offspring of this multi-millionaire son of Bettors Delight BETTING LINE have been winning and winning across 2023. Speedy and strong, his Group 1 winners in Australia include Windy Hill Tara, My Ultimate Levi & Not As Promised while his North American offspring have now earnt more than $18m.
