STAY HUNGRY hit the $1,000,000 mark in Australian progeny earnings this week with two new two-year-old colts adding to his tally of 35 winners from 62 starters – Lochinvar Leader (bred by Brooklyn Lodge) at Menangle and in just his second start, Affamato (I & D Montgomery) at Kilmore.
His progeny are firing in North America too – rising star two-year-old Frantic Hanover (1:52.1) took a $68,000 leg of the Pennsylvania Sires Stakes at Harrah’s Philadelphia, joined in a Stallion Series leg win by two-year-old colt McHungry (1:53.3).
Also successful in the Pennsylvania Stallion Series legs were CAPTAINTREACHEROUS babies Another C Note (1:52.1), Treacherous Lou (1:53.3) and Secret Society (1:54).
At the Red Mile in Kentucky, TALL DARK STRANGER kids were making their mark – two-year-old fillies Bahama Momma ($80,000 Kentucky Championship Series leg in 1:53.4) and Play Date (Wildcat Series leg in 1:53.4), and three-year-old Kentucky Golden Rod leg winners Flossy Hill (1:51.1) and Lafitte (1:50.1) were joined in a Commonwealth Series leg by colt Strangerinthenight (1:51.1).
Of our previous sire list, there were doubles for BETTING LINE (Shes In Line & Ultimate Diva) and WESTERN TERROR (Western Arterra & Madame West) as well as winners for WELL SAID (Kates Virtue) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Dancin Dolly).
