A very handy double at Bathurst for STAY HUNGRY with star filly Ark Sea (bred by M & C Ryman) taking a heat of the NSW Breeders Challenge by 24m in 1:55.6 to hit $119,000 in earnings, and a new three-year-old winner in Zaras Special (Rickie Alchin). Another Challenge heat winner in 1:55.5 was CAPTAINTREACHEROUS‘ Message Bank (Ross Angove) to remain unbeaten in three starts.
CAPTAIN had a further three winners, headlined by Hot And Treacherous (Breckon Farms) in 1:54.8 at Albion Park to hit the half million mark! Destiny Stride (E & M Stride) ran 1:54.5 at Penrith to bring up $87,000 while Perfidious Sue (SC Bloodstock) trotted her way to $82,000 at Ballarat in TR1:59.5.
Huge results from North America too with CAPTAIN filly Rodeo Drive Deo taking out the Jugette Elimination at Delaware in 1:51.1 and then the $280,000 Final in 1:50.1. His two-year-olds took out the Kentucky Commonwealth Series finals at The Red Mile – Barbuda Belle (1:50) and Captain Apple (1:50.4). STAY HUNGRY kids also starred at Delaware with The Standardbred divisions going to Spoon Fed (1:53.2) and Thai Hanover (1:52.1). TALL DARK STRANGER three-year-olds were in the money at The Red Mile – Strangerinthenight claimed the $100,000 Kentucky Commonwealth 3YO C&G Final in 1:50.2 and Thai Hanover in the $48,000 The Standardbred division, and The Meadows – Ballast in 1:49.2 for a division of the Keystone Classic.
Of our past roster, BETTING LINE claimed a treble of Tremendous Sensation, Harleequin and Perun while there were winners for WESTERN TERROR (Shireen) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Beachbabe Crocker).
