For CAPTAINTREACHEROUS there was a new three-year-old winner at Terang in Le Cardinal (C & J O’Connor) who took a heat of the Central Series, and fellow juvenile winners in San Sebastian (Brooklyn Lodge & the la Spina Family) who clocked 1:52.1 at Menangle, and taking two in a row at Bathurst, Message Bank (Ross Angove) to bring up $120,000 in stakes. Remaining unbeaten with a 15m win on that track was two-year-old Disturbance (Brookly Lodge & la Spina family) while at Wagga, seasoned campaigner Burton (Alex Smith & Russ Woods) hit $96,000 in stakes. In a Kilmore double was Treacheroustimes (M & S Moloney) for win #22 and TALL DARK STRANGER colt Sols Me Name (J Cockshutt & B Cooper) in a 6m victory.
