Headlining the results this week was STAY HUNGRY daughter Ark Sea (bred by M & C Ryman) who clocked 1:50.7 at Menangle to take her Semi Final of the 2YO Fillies NSW Breeders Challenge by more than 12m, and bringing up $1.14m in earnings for his first two crops in the process.
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS was well represented by returning star Petracca (Bruce & Craig Cameron) who posted 1:55.1 at Melton to take the win by over 17m. In North America, Sammy Jo Hanover took the $125,000 The Courageous Lady at Northfield Park, and he had a double of two-year-old $40,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes leg winners at Cumberland Run – Carnation (1:52) and Captain Apple (1:51.4).
TALL DARK STRANGER was also in the money with two-year-olds, both here at home at Redcliffe with new filly winner Threefiveone (P, E & C Galvin, T & T Craven and K Tillyer-Lordi) in by a massive 27m, and overseas with Drink To That also taking a 1:51.4 leg of the Kentucky Sires Stakes at Cumberland.
BETTING LINE headed our former roster with Shes In Line, Not As Promised, Sapphire Gambler and Flexi Bet, while there were doubles for WESTERN TERROR (Raging Sea & Keayang Tara) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Beach Diamond & Orama).
