Another highlight for STAY HUNGRY this weekend with Beaudiene Hunter (bred by WD Kennedy) saluting at Alexandra Park, a new winner for the sire and his first in New Zealand from a very small first crop! He also had a top night at Woodbine in Canada, taking a treble with Brue Hanover (1:49 to bring up over $500,000 in earnings), Hungry Man (1:50.4) and three-year-old Joel And The Jets (1:51.3).
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS also posted two new winners with two-year-old Grumpyshannon (Jonathan McAlister) in by 15m at Newcastle, and at Rangiora, Captain Christian (A Few Good Men Syndicate) representing another three-year-old winner for the star sire. Melody Banner (Banner Bloodstock) took her earnings to $76,00 with a win at Alexandra Park while at Globe Derby Park, three-year-old Captain Perfect (Durham Park) smashed his rivals by 55m to take the win. At Pocono Downs, Prince Hal Hanover clocked 1:49.3 to take a $40,000 division of the Pennsylvania Sires Stakes 3YO C&G series.
Trebles all round for our former roster – BETTING LINE (Le Spartacus, Ubetcha Tigerpie & Midnight Desire), FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Galeocerdo Cuvier, Hesastar & Heskoalatee) and WESTERN TERROR (Jay Bee, Yesnomaybeso & Western Bill) all with winners, along with WELL SAID (We Salute You).
