A Group 3 QBred Breeders Classic victory in 1:53.8 at Albion Park for three-year-old CAPTAINTREACHEROUS filly Arrive (bred by John Polson) this weekend, making for three consecutive wins. Other CAPTAIN three-year-olds in the money were Bettor Off (Studholme Bloodstock), taking a second win at Addington and at Melton, Seathestars (Peter & Craig Judd and Mark & Tracey Commadeur) in 1:54.9 to bring his earnings up to $56,000. At Wagga, STAY HUNGRY saw a brand new winner in two-year-old filly Ark Sea (M & C Ryman) who clocked 1:54.9 to win on debut.
In North America, TALL DARK STRANGER filly Caviart Rose added a Breeders Fund Elimination at Shenandoah Downs to her record while CAPTAINTREACHEROUS stock dominated in Canada – Ervin Hanover claimed the $150,000 Camluck Classic Invitational in 1:52 at Western Fair while at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Prince Hal Hanover went 1:49.4 to take an $80,000 division of the Somebeachsomewhere series and Captain Luke posted 1:49.3 to take a $68,000 leg of the Graduate Series.
