It’s been a big few days for CAPTAINTREACHEROUS! With the richest harness race in the world coming up next weekend, the dominant sire has THREE runners named – Captains Knock, this Saturday’s Discovery Stakes winner Sure Thing Captain (1:54, Menangle) and Vicbred 4YO E&G heat winner High Above who secured his second consecutive win in 1:54.3 at Melton.
Also victorious in the four-year-old Vicbred heats were Sahara Breeze whose 1:55.7 victory was also a back-to-back one and took her bank to over $205,000, and Keayang Tokyo who keeps his unbeaten streak this season intact at six from six.
Two-year-old My Ultimate Freddie also went back-to-back, clocking 1:54.3 9m win at Newcastle while three-year-olds Jorge Street (Wagga, 1:56) and Double Jeopardy (Addington, $53,000) also added to their tallies.
CAPTAIN‘s latest millionaire colt, Captain Albano, continued his winning ways at The Meadows in North America, securing a division of the Tarport Efrat in 1:49.4.
Once again it was BETTING LINE leading the way for our former roster with another six winners – Diamond Shooz, The Vicar of Dibley, Le Spartacus, Peron, My Ultimate Levi and Bettign Origin. SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE – also represented in the Eureka by Bay of Biscay – had a treble of Mondello Beach, Wendys Wish & Make Your Mark while there were winners each for WESTERN TERROR (Western Ricki), WELL SAID (Royal Speech), ARTSPEAK (Talks Up A Storm) and ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Rocks Roy).
