On the three-year-old list was Master Louey (Gary Toulmin) going back-to-back with a salute at Cranbourne, while of the seasoned campaigners Cool And Classy (Solid Earth) took consecutive wins, victorious at Albion Park by 11m in 1:54.2, and Bainbridge (Alex Smith & Russ Woods) topped $190,000 at Wagga. In Addington, a heat of the Canty Plains series was taken out by Stubing (L Whiteside).
TALL DARK STRANGER colt Lochinvar Marcello (John Evans) made himself a winner at two and three with his 1:53.8 win at Newcastle.
No surprises to see BETTING LINE leading our former roster pack with four winners – Belmer Betty, Rising Spirit, Midnite Desire & Midnight Crimes – while there were winners for SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Tough Shaz & Tupelo Beach), WESTERN TERROR (Im Alrite) and ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Dynasty).
