Another massive pre-Christmas weekend for our boys, with three winners for STAY HUNGRY – Rock Em Alyeska (bred by R & B Betts) by a massive 26m in the Lee Memorial at Maitland, and super speed for Fasting (M Allenby and B & V Hancock) at Wagga in 1:53.3 and new two-year-old winner Checkingouthtebiill (David Russel) in 1:55.2 at Albion Park.
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS kids continued doing CAPTAIN things – mare Tokyo Rose (Richard Cornelius) clocked 1:48.7 at Menangle to win the Ladyship Pace by 21m, but the rest of the weekend was for the boys. From two-year-old Treacherous Dreams (Malcolm & Sandra Little) took anotther win at Invercargill, through to the seven-year-old Frontliner (Solid Earth) to take the Simpkins Memorial at Maitland. In between were Albion Park double Captain Hammerhead (Roger Bazely Syndicate) bringing up $337,000 in 1:55.6 and We Always Have Faith (Tardina Stud) in 1:55.7. At Cranbourne, Admiralofthefleet (Fred Crews) went back-to-back, and Beach Captain (Terry Ferguson) got up by 12m to reach $68,000 at Northam.
