STAY HUNGRY girls were in the money this week with Hunger Strike (bred by Kate Baring) taking her earnings to over $124,000 with a Penrith win, and two-year-old Ark Sea (pic, M & C Ryman) remaining unbeaten after her massive 39m victory at Bathurst.
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS was also well represented by three-year-olds with salutes for Astral Stride (E & M Stride) in 1:54.8 at Menangle, CC Arden (J Stiven) taking two in a row at Addington, Just A Cool Dude (Solid Earth) at Redcliffe, and two in a row for Captain Fearless (Wyndown Stud) at Globe Derby Park. In a CAPTAIN double there, Magic Captain (Mal Moody) took an 11m win, while in Launceston Octagonise (Brooklyn Lodge) went 1:55.8 and at Albion Park, Master Charles (J & L Wallace) took his earnings past $110,000 with a 1:54.2 win.
Pocono Downs gave the boys a raft of filly winners too this week, in The Stallion Series divisions were won by Au Jus Hanover, 1:50.4 and Beyonsay Yankee, 1: 52.2 (STAY HUNGRY), Ballast, 1:51.0 (TALL DARK STRANGER) and Simply Perfect, 1:51.4 (CAPTAINTREACHEROUS) and in the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes divisions, Rodeo Drive Deo, 1:51.0 (CAPTAINTREACHEROUS).
Of our past roster BETTING LINE continues to bring in the bucks for connections with eight winners – Ubetcha Tigerpie, Our Rebel Yell, I Break The Line, Killara Shogun, Rebline, Deebo, Amaretto Angel & Windy Hill Tara. WELL SAID claimed a quad with Joeys Hangover, Take Out, Petes Said So and Ann Sophie in the winner’s circle, SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE took a treble with Orama, Tairlaw Toll and Lollipop, and BLISSFULL HALL a double with Cresco Threepeat & Jacks Up. There were also winners for ARTSPEAK (Talks Up A Storm) and WESTERN TERROR (Major Mickey).
