What a few days for our boys! The QBred Breeders Classic 3YO heats were run at Albion Park and four of them were captured by Empire sired stock – STAY HUNGRY filly London Baby (bred by Tumby Park) clocked a PB of 1:54.8 to take her bank over $52,000, while CAPTAINTREACHEROUS fillies Arrive (John Polson) made it two in a row with her 1:53.5 win and Cool And Classy (Solid Earth) surged past $358,000 in earnings with her heat victory. In the boys’ series, French Fries (Solid Earth) also went back-to-back with his 1:55.9 heat win.
CAPTAIN three-year-olds had a field day all over – CC Arden (JR Stiven) and Elektra King (M & M Pierson) at Addington, Cheer The Captain (Taffy Ltd) went two from three at Timaru, Captain Perfect (Durham Park) made it four in a row at Globe Derby Park and at Menangle, Hezatreacherous (Mathew Day) took his third consecutive win, this one in 1:52.3 for $116,000 in stakes. Hitting $63,000 at Marbug was older gelding Captain Oh Captain (Jenny Gallagher & Gary Hawthorn).
At Harrah’s Philadelphia, TALL DARK STRANGER had two colts take divisions of the Pennsylvania Stallion Series in Banderas (1:52) and Delray Beach (1:50.2).
BETTING LINE led the way again of our past roster with six winners – Chilli Punter, En Pariant Sur, Sokys Line, The Vicar Of Dibley, Perun & Jakob – while WELL SAID was represented by Triedtotellya.
