CAPTAIN recorded two Listed Stakes winners – $2.27m earner Catch A Wave (Benstud, P & Z O’Shea) taking the Casey Classic in 1:53.9 at Melton and star mare Lux Aeterna (Brooklyn Lodge & the la Spina family) in 1:50.3 at Menangle to claim the Frith Ladyship Stakes. Three-year-olds Sanchez (S & K Robertson) and General Jen (McKerrow Bloodstock) were in the oney, the former hitting $110,000 at Wagga, and the latter at Addington in a heat of the NZ 3YO Fillies Series. Bainbridge (A Smith & O Woods) clocked a sizzling 1:50.9 at Menangle and at Gloucester Park, he’s back – Captain Ravishing (Sloys Co) smashed through $678,000 in earnings with his 1:52.6 victory.
