STAY HUNGRY continues to shine, represented by three winners this week – two-year-old Gym Junkie (bred by Paul Carmody), and three-year-olds Sharp Interest (P & S Ryan who took her fourth win) and Stay Stylish (Graham Kemp Builders Trust) who recorded the second win in her last three starts.
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS winners also abounded – two-year-old filly Pre Eminant (Angelia Attard) claimed a heat of the Vicbred Super Series at Ballarat by 7m, fellow filly Homebound (Mathew Day) was a new three-year-old winner at Penrith, at Charlton Treacheroustimes (M & S Moloney) hit $106,000 in earnings, in Newcastle Captain Groove (Louise Toulmin) hit a PB with 1:55.3 for a second consecutive win, and at Gloucester Park, Beach Captain (Terry Ferguson) took his bank to $61,000. At Cumberland Run, Captain Arturovico claimed the $100,000 Kentucky Sires Stakes in 1:50.0.
Good results for TALL DARK STRANGER on two continents too – locally he had new winners in Straniero Del Mare (KTC Bloodstock) at Collie and at Wagga in 1:54.2 by 14m, Yirradiva (G & J Picker), while at Harrah’s Philadelphia in the US, filly With The Fur claimed a division of The Liberty Bell.
Of our past roster, BETTING LINE was represented by Harleequin, A Duke To Be, Line Me Up Bro, Big Black Betty and Lulu Lucifer, while SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE had a treble of Icanmotor, Beach Delight and Playa Blanca. With a double, ARTSPEAK – Tackas Princess and Our Ultimate Bonny – and with winners were FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (The Real Vanessa), ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Minstrel), WELL SAID (Welloiled), JET LAAG (Lesvos Lad) and BLISSFULL HALL (Nova Baxter).
