Great results for the boys this weekend with STAY HUNGRY represented by Westbred 3YO C&G Consolation winner Texas Storm (bred by T Ferguson & A Groves) at Gloucester Park, and at Albion Park, three-year-old filly Stay Dreamy (J & K Norrish) broke the $30,000 earnings mark. In North America, two-year-old Odds On Wonderful (1:51.3) upset the market with her win in the $40,000 Pennsylvania Stallion Series final at The Meadows, while at Harrah’s Philadelphia, three-year-old Lyson I Wanna Chip (1:50.4) boosted her earnings with a $50,000 Pennsylvania Sires Stake Consolation win.
For CAPTAINTREACHEROUS, three-year-old Le Cardinal (C & J O’Connor) took his Vicbred Super Series Semi Final in 1:54.5 at Melton, fellow 3YO Faith Not Fear (Taffy Ltd) remained unbeaten with a win at Addington. He was one of a treble for the successful New Zealand breeders, also represented by CAPTAIN progeny War Chief (back-to-back, in 1:55 at Alexandra Park) and Cheer The Captain ($40,000 at Addington). Also in the money there was mare Nothing But You (Breckon Farms), taking her bank past $76,000 with the win, while at Methven, Carrera Bandido (P Bielby, A & D Shadbolt) took his second lifetime victory. The two-year-old colts and geldings Final of the Pennsylvania Stallion Series went to CAPTAIN son Celtic Wave (1:50.4).
