For CAPTAINTREACHEROUS, there were five winners across Australasia, headlined by De Goey (Vicki Hadley) who won the 2025 Ulverstone Cup by 14.5m to bring up $138,000 in earnings. Three-year-old Cheer The Captain (Taffy Ltd) made it three wins from four starts at Addington while at Globe Derby Park, colt Captain Perfect (Durham Park) posted a 14.7m gap on rivals to take his fifth consecutive win. Captain Dorian (Helen Head) took his bank to $137,000 with a 5.6m win at Newcastle while Sure Thing Captain (Lauriston) topped $250,000 with his 1:53.4 victory at Albion Park.
In North America, our boys sired three PA Stallion Series division winners for the three-year-old fillies – TALL DARK STRANGER‘s star daughter Karma (1:51.4), and for CAPTAINTREACHEROUS Ronstadt (1:51.4) and Sammy Jo Hanover (1:52.1). Captain Optimistic took a $50,000 elimination of the North America Cup at Woodbine in 1:50.2 from STAY HUNGRY‘s Joel And The Jets, while at Northfield Park, Ken Hanover posted a track record of 1:48.3 to win the $200,000 Battle of Lake Erie FFA.
BETTING LINE played another blinder with nine weekend winners – Terragong Swinger, Ubetcha Tigerpie, Barbados, Digby Devil, Rising Spirit, Flojos Best, Ultimate Cruza, Mason Dixon Line & Fashion Icon. WESTERN TERROR notched a double with Caulonia Terror & Mammals Riddle while SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Port Au Prince) and WELL SAID (Iris Brown) were both represented.
