CAPTAINTREACHEROUS son Message Bank (Ross Angove) is looking for back-to-back Bathurst glory, taking a 1:53.7 heat of the Gold Chalice, joining new three-year-old winner Shiffrin (M Tanner, A Goadsby & S Robertson) who bobbed up at Bendigo.
Path To Greatness (B Settree & S Caffyn) hit $248,000 in earnings with his Albion Park win, Captain Perfect (Durham Park) $166,000 with 1:54.8 at Melton, Captain Bellasario (John Munnerly) $223,000 at Menangle, and Barbarossa (S Taylor, L Standing & W Wilson) $163,000 at Waikato. Also on the list was Gidup Captain (J Edwards, S Jory & M Stanton) by 9.2m at Albion Park, and Don Capitano (Benstud) with a third win at Globe Derby Park.
TALL DARK STRANGER filly Topsie Beware (the Ronan family) took victory on debut at Ararat.
BETTING LINE continues to be the bread-and-butter sire with another big bag of winners – Line Up Jacquie, Stars Abroad, Lucky Zara, Dee Jays Big Boy, Lulu Lucifer, Double Lines, Classic Line, True Grit, Ubetcha Tigerpie, Not As Promised, Buddy Perfect, King Bart, Credulous and Chasing Rex.
