We are very pleased to take this opportunity to present to you our exciting 9 stallion roster of world class sires for the upcoming 2008/09 season.
New for this season is the sensational first crop stallion FOUR STARZZZ SHARK. A brilliant racehorse by Cam’s Card Shark, he earned $2.5 million and is the third fastest race winning stallion of all time with a record of 1:47.4. FOUR STARZZZ is off to a fabulous start as a sire. His first U.S. 2-year-olds are impressive with 42 starters, 16 in 2:00 and 7 in 1:55 – more than any North American stallion being imported to the Southern Hemisphere this season.
Another new addition this season is the Artsplace stallion DREAM AWAY. After being a top stallion in New Zealand the past several seasons with 2 Breeders Crown Champions to his credit, this is his first appearance in Australia. His siring statistics rank him as one of the best, especially in Australia where he has been a leading percentage sire of the winners of over $3.3 million. DREAM AWAY is one of those rare stallions that has the ability to successfully cross with mares in 3 countries.
World Champion Sire and Triple Crown Winner BLISSFULL HALL will again return to EMPIRE this season. BLISSFULL HALL is having another great year in North America with his 2-year-olds continuing to play major roles on the racing scene while setting numerous track and stakes records. He has now sired the winners of over $26 million from only 5 crops to race! MODERN ART’s first North American 2-year-olds are currently racing and after only 8 weeks of the season, he is already the sire of 60 starters, 24 winners and 11 in 2:00. His fillies are the equal of his colts and they are making a big impression in the Ontario Sire Stakes. Both BLISSFULL HALL and MODERN ART’s eagerly anticipated first Australian 2-year-olds will race this season.
World Champion JET LAAG continues to be both a favorite and a major force in Australia with Lombo Pocket Watch, the Pearl Classic and WA Derby Winner Argent Treasure and the outstanding 2-year-old Hilton Fly High – a winner of 9 races and $90,000 this season. The Falcon Seelster stallion SEALED N DELIVERED is having a great year with his 2 and 3-year-olds in the very competitive New York Sire Stakes and his first Australian sired yearlings will sell in early 2009. The Western Ideal Stallion DAWN OFA NEW DAY will also see his first crop of yearlings sell in both North America and Australia this coming year. From all reports, they are attractive, athletic individuals like their sire.
World Champion Sire PRECIOUS BUNNY’s siring statistics may be the best in all of Australia and his semen will be available to breeders in Victoria only this season. YANKEE PACO, the best bred and performed trotter ever to stand in Australia is already the sire of 156 starters, 95 winners, 37 in 2:00 and over $4.1 million in earnings from only 4 crops to race. His first crop of handsome, well conformed Australian yearlings will sell in early 2009.
