It was the ladies heading CAPTAINTREACHEROUS‘ list this weekend with a trifecta for the sire in the GR2 Premier Mares Championship at Addington. Lakelsa (bred by B & A Sinclair) pumped up her earnings to over $92,000 with her win, coming in ahead of fellow CAPTAIN girls Ruby Rose and All You Need Is Me. At Cambridge, it was Barbarossa (L Standing, W Wilson & S Taylor) earning the cash, his bank now at over $113,000 after win #8.
In Australia We Always Have Faith (Tardina Stud) set a sizzling summer time of 1:53.2 at Albion Park to take his earnings past $150,000 but Bainbridge (Alex Smith & Russ Woods) went even better at Menangle, clocking 1:50.6 in his ninth lifetime win ($123,000). At Northam it was Chillin (M Settree & J Moore) making the money, with his win making for $67,000 in stakes. Overall Australian prizemoney earnings by CAPTAIN progeny now sits at $21.9m!
Of our past roster it was BETTING LINE again in front with four winners – Neon, Bet On The River, Classic Line and Betting Ranger – but there were also representatives for WESTERN TERROR (Western Sonodor), WELL SAID (Sweetly Spoken) and ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Rocking With Charm).
